77 invitations were sent to skilled workers and international graduates under 4 streams of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program.

On November 2, 2021 BC PNP Tech draw conducted by British Columbia immigration, 77 invitations were sent to skilled workers and international graduates under 4 streams of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program.

1. SI – Skilled Worker
2. SI – International Graduate
3. EEBC – Skilled Worker
4. EEBC – International Graduate

Invited candidates now have 30 calendar days to apply for the nomination.

Minimum scores were 75 for all four streams. PNP candidates automatically earn an additional worth 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points.

With this draw, in 2021, British Columbia has issued over 10,000 invitations to apply for provincial nominations.

The BC PNP Tech Pilot has been renamed BC PNP Tech and converted to a permanent immigration stream. It was initially started in May 2017, to cater specifically to employers in British Columbia’s technology sector so as to continue to attract and select international talent when qualified workers are not available locally. It has a list of 29 target occupations with relaxed duration requirements.

British Columbia province has a thriving technology industry with some big names of the tech world basing themselves in Canada’s westernmost province.
Candidates need to be registered in one of B.C.’s existing provincial immigration streams and have a valid job offer of at least 12 months in one of 29 eligible occupations to qualify for the stream and Job offer must be valid for at least 120 days at the time of application
Invitations through the province’s tech program are sent out weekly to the top-scoring candidates who meet the eligibility requirements.

Candidates who are invited to apply for a provincial nomination will need to submit a complete application. Once this is done, most tech applications will be processed within 2 to 3 months
